Weighted sums include the A, C and Z totals. These levels are calculated based on the measured spectrum, using weighting. An excluded band is removed from this calculation.
Band exclusion is used if a band is not able to fulfil the criteria specified by a standard, or if advanced analysis of intensity is needed.
