Make sure that the correct transducer is selected before a microphone (with preamplifier) is connected to the analyser. If the sensor does not appear in the sensor list then first add it in the transducer administration.
This is to ensure that no transducer is exposed to operating conditions that can change or dammage its behaviour.
Sensor administration
If you need to connect the microphone via an extension cable or a gooseneck, then make sure that these devices does not give any conflicts with the electrical parameters or the sound field of interest. Up to 100 m cable can be used if sound levels with peak values up to 120 dB shall be measured up to 10 kHz. The instruction manual gives detailed information on cable lengths and frequency response.
Use a sound calibrator to verify the performance of the system after the microphone set is connected.
