The Idle View presents the instantaneous values from the Intensity Probe.
The help content changes based on context. Tap the ? symbol to access help for a specific view or menu.
Intensity help
Spectrum presentation

You are now looking at the instantaneous result from the intensity probe. These values are not stored.

Use the cursor keys or tap a frequency band to get the values for the selected band.

Tap and drag vertically on the graph to change the visible range.

The weighted sum frequency range is indicated with white background, bands outside the range is gray.

Press and hold anywhere on the graph to bring up the context menu.

Network bands

In Idle view, A, C and Z bands are filtered using a broadband input. Therefore, Weighted Sum Freq. Range does not apply to A,C and Z.

The network bands are also not utlizing stage two of the two-stage phase correction.

Press to toggle between spectrum and tabular view.

Measuring

The currently selected segment is shown in the upper-left corner of the screen: [Surface] [Row#][Column#]-[Scan direction].

Depending on the settings in Setup->Measurement->Scanning Direction, the instrument will automatically select the correct scan direction when a measurement is completed.

Start
Stop

Press to start and stop a measurement.

When the measurement is stopped, you will need to Accept or Discard the measurement before a new measurement can be made.

Saving a project
MEM

This button gives access to the memory menu.

- If the current project is not saved, you will be prompted to save the project with a new name.

- If the measurement is already saved, or no measurement is open, you will have a list of projects to select from.

To begin a new project, please press the "X" key on the keyboard.
