IntensityISO9614-2Warnings
Below is the description for the ISO9614-2 warning indicators.
Modify Display Band Excluded

Indicated if one or several bands are excluded. This will violate the A-weighted result of the measurement unless the band is more than 10 dB below the highest A-weighted band. Please consult the standard.

Modify Display Dynamic Capability too low

This warning is issued if a band has a measured FpI > Ld.

This may be avoided by proper calibration, and avoiding measuring a highly reactive sound field. Try to move away from the source or eliminate extranous noise sources to avoid the warning.

Modify Display Dynamic Capability too low

This warning is issued if a band has a measured FpI > Ld on a segment.

This may be avoided by proper calibration, and avoiding measuring a highly reactive sound field. Try to move away from the source or eliminate extranous noise sources to avoid the warning.

The yellow warning is issued for a segment. The measurement is still compliant to the standard if the summed bands in total scope fullfills the requirement. Otherwise, a red warning will be issued.

Modify Display Repeatability failed

The difference between the horizontal and vertical scan is larger than the requirement for one or more bands.

Applies only to Engineering grade accuracy.

Modify Display Too short averaging time

If either the horiztonal or vertical scan duration is less than 20 seconds, this warning will be issued.

Modify Display Extraneous intensity

The extranous intensity indicator F+/- ≥ 3 dB for one or more bands. Applies only to Engineering grade accuracy.

Try to shield the device under test for directive extraneous noise sources.

Modify Display Negative intensity

One or more bands have negative direction intensity/sound power.

Try to shield the device under test from extraneous noise sources.

Modify Display Weighted sum range not compliant

The Weighted sum frequency range is not set to exactly 50 Hz to 6.3 kHz.

The measurement is not compliant.

Modify Display Frequency range not complient

The filter bandwidth is not set to minimum the range 31.5 Hz to 10 kHz.

Modify Display Negligible repeatability

A band failed on repeatability, but the LW sum of bands with repeatability is more than 10 dB below the highest A-weighted level.

The repeatability warning is automatically negelected.

Modify Display High FpI

The field indicator FpI is larger than 10 dB.

According to the standard, every effort should be made to avoid measuring sound fields this reactive.

Modify Display High level outside A-total

Indicates that a frequency band outside the Weighted Sum Frequency Range is less than 6 dB below the total A-weighted value when A-weighted.

The standard states that the uncertainty may not be guaranteed in this case.

Modify Display Low mid-range power

Indicates that the A-weighted power from bands [50 Hz to 315 Hz] + 6.3 kHz is larger than the A-weighted power for bands 400 Hz to 5 kHz.

The uncertainty for total A is then invalid, and individual band uncertainties apply.

Modify Display Probe calibration out of date

Indicates that the sound intensity probe has not been phase corrected within the last 24 hours.
