The NorRemote remote control consists of a built-in webserver in the Nor150 and an App available at the Google Play store for Android-based smartphones.
To use the remote control, the Nor150 and the smartphone must be connected by a WiFi connection. By using the WiFi connection, no additional cables are required to use the remote control, and it is not necessary to lock the smartphone to the Nor1290 smarphone handle.
Start the NorRemote app on your smartphone.
1. Tap the three dots in the upper-right corner of the smartphone screen, and select settings.
2. Switch on "Enable Hotspot".
3. Press the "back" button on the Andorid to store the settings.
Now, the Android hotspot is turned on, and you should see an icon on the Android taskbar indicating a hotspot (wireless symbol within a rectangular box).
On this instrument, go to SETUP->Instrument->Communication->WLAN and find the hotspot network. The network is named "NorRemoteAP-x", where x represents the type of your smartphone.
Tap into the "NorRemoteAP-x" network and press Connect. The instrument will establish a connection. Tap the Accept button and check that an IP address is assigned. The IP-address should be on the format 192.168.. when the IP address is successfully obtained.
On the smartphone, tap the purple refresh button in the bottom-right corner. The Nor150 should now show up in the list. Tap the list to start the remote control.
The remote will be synced with the Nor150 and display the same graphics. Note that Setup, Memory and Calibration is not available on the remote. These settings must be operated directly from the instrument.
The remote has the softkeys for the important navigation keys (VIEW, TBL, FUNC, INFO). The softkeys on the Nor150 is show below these keys, and operates in the same way as on the Nor150.
